Home Energy Scotland provides free and impartial advice to help people reduce their fuel bills and keep warm at home. We also work closely with partner organisations such as NHS, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Care & Repair to support people vulnerable to fuel poverty.
Our free training events, run by the Community Liaison and Partnership team, will empower you to support your clients more effectively, make them healthier and more comfortable in their homes. The sessions, delivered by experienced trainers, are fun and interactive with opportunities for discussion and networking. Lunch will be provided.
Who should attend?
The session is for frontline staff working with households vulnerable to fuel poverty i.e. families with children under 16, older people, disabled, single occupancy households, pregnant women and households in rural areas.
What will you learn?
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Identify the signs and understand the impact of fuel poverty
- Understand Home Energy Scotland’s services including funding support
- Have confidence to refer service users to Home Energy Scotland
