Our new Chief Executive has recently led the organisation through a restructure, creating a number of exciting new opportunities within Ardenglen to make us stronger for the future and help turn our vision and ambition into reality.

Ardenglen is a community based housing association established in 1990. We operate from a modern office in Castlemilk, Glasgow and own and manage over 950 homes for rent. We also have a new build development programme.

We are now looking for motivated, dynamic and resilient individuals to join our dedicated team.

Corporate and Compliance Officer (35 hours) Grade 7

The role of Corporate and Compliance Officer is a new role within our Finance, Digital and Corporate Services team. The role is extremely varied with an opportunity to get involved in an array of governance, performance and compliance work.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for the Board with responsibility to develop and implement systems and processes to both support and develop the Board. This will also be a key post to ensure we comply with the new regulatory requirements set out by the Scottish Housing Regulator.

Leading on the implementation of our communication strategy and having a key role in ensuring effective performance management and risk management systems are also key areas for the post holder. In addition, the post holder will provide an effective and professional executive support service to the CEO.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate:

  • Practical knowledge in applying governance policies and practices.
  • Experience of the Scottish Social Housing Charter and the Scottish Housing Regulator.
  • Highly organised but flexible, and comfortable with working with a wide range of staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate information clearly including producing reports and presentations for a wide range of audiences with an eye for attention to detail.
