GHA has announced plans to build affordable housing in the Baillieston area of Glasgow.

The Main Street site contains a derelict police station which has been unused for several years.

The plans submitted to Glasgow City Council, which are at a very early stage, will see the decaying building demolished and replaced with affordable homes.

GHA’s area housing manager, Maura McGregor, said: “We’re looking forward to working with the local community to build much-needed affordable homes in Baillieston.”

Councillor James Coleman, local councillor for the area, added: “This is great news for Baillieston. The police station has been an eyesore for years and people will be delighted at the opportunity for new homes in the area.”
