The 2016 Castlehill Housing Association charity challenge is underway.

The team consisting David Lappin, Sharon Travers and Alec Macmillan are halfway through the challenge of cycling from Snowdon to Ben Nevis.

During the trip, they will also climb the highest mountains in Wales, England & Scotland.

The team successfully climbed Snowdon on June 3rd and then cycled about 200 miles before ascending Scafell Pike on June 6. They are presently cycling the 300 miles from the Lake District to Ben Nevis for the ascent on June 11.

The cycling team will then be met by a group of hill climbers from Castlehill, who will join them at Fort William for the walk up Ben Nevis.

David Lappin, Castlehill’s chief executive, said: “We are now looking forward to the last push to Fort William and the final climb. Please consider sponsoring us and thank you to all those that have already donated.”

Funds are being raised for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) which provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life shortening conditions. CHAS runs two hospices in Kinross and Balloch and also provides home care services and support for families, including a team based in Aberdeen.
