CCG completes Glasgow West End residential development

View 24_9954-MECCG (Scotland) Ltd has announced the completion of a new residential project for Noah Developments at Hillside Gardens Lane in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.

The project comprises six contemporary townhouses by Hoskins Architects – each of which has been designed to complement the surrounding Victorian architecture of the area. The project also included the renovation of the clubhouse at Partickhill Bowling Club, as well as the creation of high-end private landscaped gardens.

The six homes at Hillside Gardens Lane have been created over three levels and placed in a tranquil lane and garden setting in the heart of the West End’s Conservation Area. With a south facing aspect, open views over private gardens and one of Glasgow’s oldest bowling greens, these homes have been carefully integrated into the immediate environment.

The development was constructed using CCG’s Closed Panel Timber Frame System manufactured in the company’s bespoke ‘Off-Site Manufacturing’ facility in Cambuslang.

Hillside Gardens Lane marks yet another project to be completed in this area of the city since 2013 with the completions of both Willowbank Primary and The Ballet School totalling 281 student beds as well as The Observatory - a bespoke nineteen apartment development on Highburgh Road which was awarded Development of the Year 2015 by the Herald Property Awards.

CCG director Calum Murray said: “It is incredible to see this development in all its glory in the heart of the historic West End. The site that the townhouses were constructed upon was once overgrown with a lot of unsightly vegetation so to see this transformation, including the re-born Clubhouse, is a proud moment for CCG.”

Paul Winocour, managing director at Noah, said: “We are extremely delighted with the finished development at Hillside Gardens Lane - the design, the quality of build and the fact that all the houses were sold off plan is another success story for our varied portfolio of work.”
