Cruden Group donates 200 masks to frontline Bield care workers

Staff from Cruden, based in Edinburgh, gathered a consignment of 200 spare masks normally used on their building sites and handed them over to Bield for use across its Retirement Plus developments, where front line care staff are delivering services to their most vulnerable customers.

There have been challenges in getting PPE across the country, meaning care workers have not always been able to get the equipment needed to keep them and their patients safe from infection.

Kevin Reid, chief executive of the Cruden Group, said: “Front line care workers are doing a tremendous job keeping those in more vulnerable categories safe. They deserve to be protected too. As a valued client, we were pleased that we could help Bield in this small way.”

Val Hunter, director for business development at Bield, said: “We put a call out for help and were delighted that Cruden were able to respond so quickly.  We are so grateful for the donation of 200 masks to help protect our workers as they prioritise the wellbeing of residents.”
