It’s with sadness that Hillcrest Housing Association has announced that Dean Noble, a valued and much-respected committee member, passed away unexpectedly on 21st December 2016.

His untimely passing was a shock to family, friends, fellow Board members and employees within the Hillcrest Group.

Dean first joined the committee of Hillcrest Housing Association in February 2010 as a co-optee and became a fully elected member in August 2010. Dean was a dedicated committee member who showed considerable interest in the activities undertaken by Hillcrest HA and always fully contributed at committee meetings. Dean was a tenant of Hillcrest HA and could put forward a different perspective and slant on the topic ensuring that the discussion was rounded and all viewpoints were considered before a decision was made.

Dean was well known in the sector as he was a regular attendee at SFHA and other related events to add to his knowledge and expertise. He took careful notes at these events and fed back key information and new developments to the Committee and senior staff in the organisation.

As a committee member and also a tenant, Dean helped develop tenant participation in the organisation and worked alongside the Tenant Participation Team to make this as meaningful as possible.

Dean joined the Board of Hillcrest Maintenance Services (HMS) in May 2014 as a director and worked alongside the chair and other Board members to further develop the strategic direction for HMS and ensure that Hillcrest tenants received both excellent customer service experience and value for money.

The commitment and dedication shown by Dean towards his role in the Hillcrest Group was much admired and valued by his fellow Board and committee members. His contribution was always thoughtful and appreciated and will be missed by all who knew him.

Hillcrest said that the team’s thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
