Link Group hails successful year in 2015 Annual Review

Link Group structureLink Group has published its latest Annual Review highlighting achievements, successes and awards during a busy 2014/15.

The group of social landlords and social enterprises welcomed West Highland Housing Association and The Lintel Trust on board and nurtured its in-house trades division Link Property as it achieved a 98 per cent tenant satisfaction rating with its repairs service.

Around £10 million was spent on maintenance and improvements to existing stock, which now numbers some 7,000 dwellings.

A total of 218 new or improved homes were completed over the period, thereby achieving delivery of an average of 207 per year during the last five years, the majority of which being for social rent.

The group created more than 350 jobs, apprenticeships, work placements and volunteering opportunities and was awarded three significant Scottish Government and local authority contracts.

Link received two industry awards as it was named Homes for Scotland’sBest Supporting Company’ and won ‘Small Affordable Development of the Year’ at the Scottish Home Awards and also established a good working relationship with its new Tenant Scrutiny Panel which itself received a Tenant Participation Advisory Service award.

Going forward the group expects to deliver another 1200 new homes during the next three years and have been engaged by Glasgow City Council and Clyde Gateway to lead on the regeneration of site of the former Dalmarnock Power Station to develop a further 550 new homes.

Link also intends to alleviate inequality by building more homes, letting them at rents which people with limited or fixed incomes can afford, creating jobs, paying the Scottish Living wage, responding effectively to the challenges from welfare reform and the integration of health and social care while doing all it can to help with the current refugee crisis.
