Lintel Trust Digital Participation event a success

Lintel Trust, part of the Link group of social enterprises, held a successful Digital Participation event with support from ng homes and Queens Cross Housing Association.

The Bridging the Divide event on Friday was an opportunity for delegates to share experiences about including and supporting tenants as we move forward into a digital age.

Digital Participation is high on the agenda for housing providers and over 50 delegates attended the event, with guest speakers from Carnegie Trust, Scottish Government, SCVO and Wheatley Group.

Delegates took part in a lively panel session which explored the possibilities for a digital future in housing and how organisations can help bridge the digital divide in Scotland’s communities.

Robert McDowall, chairperson of Lintel Trust, said: “Lintel Trust has tracked the development of the digital participation agenda since it was launched by the Scottish Government in 2013. We appreciate the benefits that can be derived by introducing opportunities for those most in need to participate and we have already provided funding to innovative projects in this key policy area. By bringing together those who have a stake in expanding digital participation in some of Scotland’s most deprived areas, we have demonstrated that there are opportunities to learn from each other’s experiences and hopefully provide a platform to share best practice across the country.

“We are keen to bring together those who want to invest in digital participation with those who have projects that they want to develop.”
