Maryhill Housing Association downgraded to medium regulator engagement

Maryhill housing associationThe Scottish Housing Regulator has moved Maryhill Housing Association from high to medium engagement following a number of governance and performance improvements.

A revised regulation plan revealed that Maryhill carried out a structural review of the organisation and developed a comprehensive delivery plan to address its governance and performance issues. It is making good progress through this plan to ensure that it meets the regulator’s Standards of Governance and Financial Management and has also provided sufficient assurance about on-going improvements in service delivery.

It is however continuing to address its performance in reducing rent arrears.

Assurances have also been given on the quality of stock condition information and Maryhill’s capacity to plan and fund the necessary work to achieve the Scottish Housing Quality Standard by December 2015.

A spokesperson for Maryhill Housing Association said: “We are extremely pleased that the regulator has recognised the significant progress and achievements of the board and staff team. We are looking forward to delivering even more improvement for our tenants in 2016.”
