Following a successful pilot, Milnbank Housing Association has received additional funding from the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) to further develop the Community Shift Project.

This project has two key aims: reduce car dependency by increasing bike use for commuting and assist families to change their eating patterns by shifting away from processed food to growing and sharing their own fruit and vegetables.

Milnbank is the only housing association in Scotland involved in this type of CCF funded growing project and, to date, 300 residents have engaged in the initiative.

In addition, a full range of support services are provided from the Bike Hub including Learn-to-ride sessions and bike mechanic classes.
