New website and committee members for Manor Estates

Manor Estates fillerManor Estates Housing Association has welcomed four new members to its management committee and announced the launch of its new website.

Providing a wealth of experience the new co–optees will complement the knowledge of existing committee members and aid the association fulfil its ambitions to deliver sensitive, value for money services to its tenants and customers.

Sandra Brydon (currently with Home in Scotland), Mike Trant (formally Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership), Kerry McLeod (formally Ore Valley HA) and Tracey Kelly (until recently with City of Edinburgh Council) have between then them a total of 128 years’ experience in the housing sector and have already made an invaluable contribution to the work of the association.

Manor Estates chairman Nigel Hicks said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome our new colleagues on to the management committee of the association. We were delighted with the calibre of all the candidates who responded tour recruitment advertisement and applied for co–option to our governing body. Our new colleagues bring to Manor an invaluable wealth of experience which will help us achieve our ambitions.”

Meanwhile Manor Estates said its new website is a “significant improvement” on its earlier version and will provide customers and stakeholders with information and news about the Association in a modern, easily accessible format.

Developed in partnership with tenants and website designers NS Design, the new site combines modern concepts of design and user interaction and will be of significant benefit to the association as it engages, develops improved services and communicates with the neighbourhoods in which it operates.

Kenny Roy, operations and business development manager at NS Design, said: “The team at Manor Estates had a clear vision of what they wished to do to help both improve communications with their customers and to utilise latest digital technology to streamline business processes within the organisation.

“NS Design were able to apply our expertise and experience to create a new website that provides a platform for Manor Estates to display their forward thinking services and company ethos and also to allow existing customers to access their own accounts where they can keep up to date with payments and communicate with Manor Estates on any service issues.

“The site also had to work seamlessly on mobiles and tablets due to the large percentage of customers now using mobile to access the internet.

“The team at Manor Estates were a pleasure to work with and we think we’ve managed to convey their professionalism and positive attitude towards delighting their customers. We look forward to working with them for a long time to come.”

Kathryn Miller, Manor Estates’ corporate services manager, said: “Thanks to the hard work of colleagues at NSDesign and my colleagues at Manor Estates (in particular Connor Preston – our IT officer), we have a website that looks wonderful and is very easy to use. We hope that tenants, owners and all other users of the website will enjoy the experience and look forward to their feedback.”
