The ceremony was held at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews and was organised by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service in Scotland.

Osprey Housing and Osprey Housing Moray are individually registered housing associations within the Osprey Housing Group and provide services to tenants across the city, shire and Moray. Osprey won the award for best practice in involving tenants in determining rents and another for digital involvement, allowing tenants to access services such as maintenance and repairs online.

The awards were collected on behalf of the Osprey team by housing services manager Stacy Angus, who said: “It’s so rewarding for everyone at Osprey Housing to be recognised for all the hard work that has gone into these projects. Collecting both the rent consultation and digital awards reflect our engaging and empowering culture in relation to tenant participation and the delivery of our day to day activities as a whole.

“We believe that tenant engagement is core to our delivery of excellent services to our tenants, based upon transparency, good, clear communication and great customer service.

“We changed our approach to rent consultation aiming to achieve real and meaningful engagement and promoting tenant empowerment. The process also intertwined with Value for Money and service improvement workshops based on open honest dialogue with tenants. This was an opportunity to embed the positive foundation to build strong tenant-landlord relationships.”

Ms Angus added: “Osprey’s renewed digital strategy aims to tackle digital inclusion which has a direct positive impact on our tenants. We identified social exclusion as a growing concern in relation to access to digital services, particularly in rural areas. We have been supported in widening access to digital services and helping more of our tenants get online by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations Digital Champions project. Providing focussed training for our own frontline staff has empowered the team to support tenants directly.”

Glenn Adcook, CEO of Osprey Housing, said: “I’m very proud of the team involved and what they have achieved. These awards demonstrate Osprey’s ethos of putting our tenants at the heart of everything we do and making a difference. As a caring, modern and responsive housing association, it is a huge honour for everyone at Osprey to be recognised for our commitment to our tenants.”
