Parkhead Housing Association holds 40th Annual General Meeting

Parkhead Housing Association celebrated its birthday at its 40th Annual General Meeting on Scottish Housing Day last week.

The Association was delighted to see such a big turnout of shareholders, tenants, elected members and staff to hear about the achievements over the 2016/2017 year.

It also delivered a very interesting presentation on the outcomes of the recent Parkhead Charrette and a sneak preview of a fantastic community film created by some talented local youngsters.

The evening also saw a presentations made to Honorary President John Ferguson MBE for his long and continuous service, long-standing Board member Nessie Wood who has decided to stand down, and PHA’s bursary and garden competition winners.

Finally the event saw the inaugural presentation of the President’s Good Neighbour Award, presented to Linda Park for all her tireless work for the community.

Parkhead Housing Association chief executive, Jim Strang, said: “This is another massive milestone in the life of Parkhead Housing Association. We are again thankful for the commitment of our Board and shareholders in ensuring the night was a great success.”
