Partick tenants invited to reshape Glasgow’s museums

ice-cream-300x212Partick Housing Association is offering its customers the chance to take part in a workshop to help shape the future of Glasgow’s museums.

Throughout May, research company icecream architecture is working with Glasgow museums to find out exactly what interests the people of the city. The research aims to speak to people about their experiences of the nine museums throughout Glasgow and discover the topics they are most interested in.

The first stage of the project involved running on-street workshops asking passers-by some quick and simple questions about their own experiences of the museums. The aim of this early research is to reach as many people as possible and gain an understanding of the audience on a citywide basis.

The second stage of the project is an opportunity for Partick Housing Association customers work alongside artists and designers to come up with new designs and ideas for Glasgow museums’ displays. A workshop is being held on 14th May at 4pm in the former Bead Company unit in Keith Street.

The research and design team are looking to work with Partick Housing Association customers who would be interested in getting involved. Over the 90 minute workshop, groups will explore the topics they are interested in learning about and design new ways to build museum exhibitions. This creative workshop is suitable for all ages with no experience required.

Spaces on the workshop will be limited so to find out more and book your space please contact Anna Goldthorpe by email agoldthorp@partickha.org.uk or phone 0141 330 1490 07972172204.
