Scottish Housing News becomes proud Business Fives industry partner

Business 5sScottish Housing News has been named as joint industry partner for the Housing & Property heat of Scotland’s national business five-a-side tournament Business Fives.

After the success of the summer edition, Business Fives moves indoor for the winter ahead of Business Fours, the golf edition in spring.

The Housing & Property heat, run also in conjunction with the Scottish Property Federation (SPF) is taking place on January 26 at the SoccerWorld venue in Glasgow.

For the indoor edition, Business Fives will be supporting the work of Street Soccer Scotland.

Kieran Findlay, editor at Scottish Housing News, said: “The chance to support a great tournament with an even better cause is something we could not pass up. We have long admired the work of Street Soccer Scotland and featured the charity on our annual Homeless Spotlight at the beginning of the year. We would encourage everyone in the sector to come along and show off their skills.”

David Duke, CEO and founder of Street Soccer Scotland, said: “Street Soccer Scotland are delighted to be given the opportunity to partner with Business Fives. The money raised from the heats and tournaments goes directly to help the work we do 365 days a year with some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged and socially excluded people. We provide weekly, free drop-in sessions in Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee. Working alongside Business Fives allows us to spread our message of achieving social change through sport. Good luck to all those competing!”

David Melhuish, director of industry partner SPF, added: “We are delighted to support the Business Fives housing and property heat. This is a great event supporting a crucial charity – if you are in the property industry and want to have some fun and do some good work, then get involved!”

As well as a great networking opportunity Business Fives give you the chance to bond with colleagues outside of the office environment.
