Works commence at new affordable housing project in Cumbernauld

Hume Road SeafarCCG (Scotland) Ltd has commenced work on a new affordable housing scheme in Cumbernauld on behalf of Sanctuary Scotland.

The development at Hume Road in Seafar consists of 24 flats, all of which have been allocated for social rent.

CCG will use its Closed Panel Timber Frame System to deliver the units, with completion scheduled for early this year.

Alastair Wylie, chairman and CEO of CCG, said: “CCG are delighted to continue our longstanding partnership with Sanctuary Scotland. We have worked with the association on many affordable housing projects across the Central Belt and we are pleased to bring much needed sustainable, affordable housing to Cumbernauld.

“The benefits of using CCG OSM’s closed panel solution are well documented: with a faster speed of construction we will reduce the impact of the site on the local community and, due to the excellent environmental properties, the future residents will be greatly assisted with long-term savings on their energy bills.”
