Who’s it for and what’s it about?

This level 3 award has been designed to help managers develop their skills in team and people management. The award will be delivered over three units. Delegates can alternatively participate in individual units without undertaking the full qualification.

27.04.22 – Understanding Performance Management

This course is for anyone with the responsibility of managing teams or those who are responsible for monitoring performance within their organisation.

Throughout this module you will explore how to manage the performance of individuals in the team as well as how to manage underperformance in your workplace. By the end of this session you should be able to describe the value of formal and informal performance assessment in the workplace.

18.05.22 – Understanding discipline in the workplace

This course is for anyone who has the responsibility to line manage a team or those who are responsible for managing disciplinary procedures in the workplace.

This module looks at how you monitor discipline in the workplace as well as the legal implications and identifying the correct employment policies and procedures that guide you in dealing with discipline.

07.06.22 – Understanding Leadership

This course has been designed to develop knowledge and understanding of leadership as required by a practising or potential first line manager. The session will consider various leaderships styles; the pro’s and con’s of each and the factors that will influence the best leadership style in a given situation. Delegates will examine their own leadership behaviours and steps that they can take to enhance their leadership skills to the benefit of their team.
