Due to an expansion of the Melville team brought on by internal restructuring, we are looking for two high quality individuals to deliver a first-class frontline service to our customers.

You will be joining Melville at a ground-breaking time for the organisation as we introduce new working arrangements (initially on a 12-month trial) that will see staff become amongst the first in Scotland to work a reduced 4-day week (Monday to Thursday) for 100% pay.

The post holders will report to the Communications and Corporate Services Manager and be responsible for resolving customer enquiries at first point of contact. They will deliver an efficient front-of-house service, including:

  • Dealing with Melville visitors, phone calls and emails
  • Providing admin support to all other sections
  • Helping organise meetings and events
  • Providing comprehensive admin support to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and Board

The successful candidates must have a good level of education (minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent), experience working with the public, good written and verbal communication skills, and strong IT abilities including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Preference will be given to applicants who have housing experience.

Our generous conditions of service include hybrid working (2 days in office, 2 at home), a career average revalued earning pension scheme, 25 days annual leave and 13 public holidays per annum (pro rata for period of 4-day week trial).
