We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our team at a very exciting time for Melville. You will be responsible for providing customer-focussed services and ensuring our tenants receive excellent, confidential advice to maximise their income and opportunities.

You will be joining Melville at a ground-breaking time as we introduce new working arrangements (initially on a 12-month trial) that will see staff become amongst the first in Scotland to work a reduced 4-day week (Monday to Thursday) for 100% pay.

The successful applicant will have an extensive working knowledge of welfare benefits and legislation (minimum of 5 years’ experience) and must have a good level of education (minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent).

To achieve high levels of performance and maintain excellent service standards, you will have strong administrative and reporting skills, be able to prioritise a demanding workload, as well as have excellent IT knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

You must also be able to build good relations with our tenants and partners, and contribute to our enthusiastic team, together with the ability to work well on your own initiative.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience and who hold qualifications in benefits, housing or advice and guidance.

A full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle insured for business use is a requirement of this post.

Our generous conditions of service include hybrid working (2 days in office, 2 at home), a career average revalued earning pension scheme, 25 days annual leave and 13 public holidays per annum (pro rata for period of 4-day week trial).
