Hillcrest Housing Association has revealed its “honour” in being named Supporting Organisation of the Year during last Friday’s Homes for Scotland Awards.

Dundee based Hillcrest won the award for the successful partnerships they have forged across the housing development and construction sector.

Angela Linton, chief executive of the Hillcrest Group of Companies, said: “We are delighted to win the Homes for Scotland Supporting Organisation of the Year award and it is an honour for our working practices to be recognised by the judges.

“Our ethos and expertise make us the housing association partner of choice for local authorities and property developers across Scotland and this award reinforces the fantastic work our team do in delivering top quality affordable homes.”

Emma Garry, development director at Cullross Ltd, one of Hillcrest’s partners, said: “We consider ourselves very fortunate to have worked with a partner like Hillcrest who has the in-house expertise to problem solve quickly and reasonably and one which has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to delivering on the best for their tenants.”

Introduced in 2003 in order to recognise and promote best practice, the Homes for Scotland Awards celebrate the housing industry’s ability to deliver the many thousands of new homes Scotland desperately needs.

Winners were announced to audience of over 1000 representatives from across the housing sector during the annual Homes for Scotland lunch which was held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
