Social Housing Resilience Group to consider need for further guidance for housing providers

The Social Housing Resilience Group (SHRG) has agreed to consider the need for further communication or guidance for housing providers on service delivery, in light of recent announcements from the First Minister.

Providing an update on the group’s latest meeting, the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) said there was also discussion on digital signatures for tenancy agreements and deadlines for fire safety measures.

Meanwhile, work on the implications for housing of the UK Internal Market Bill is underway between the SFHA and CIH in Scotland and Wales and a future meeting of the SHRG will consider the impact of COVID-19 on different community groups and possible responses.

The Scottish Housing Regulator’s next monthly dashboard will be published next week.

Convened by SFHA in response to the coronavirus outbreak, the comprises the Scottish Government, Public Health Scotland, Scottish Housing Regulator, Wheatley Group, Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations, CIH Scotland, and the Association of Local Authority Chief Housing Officers.
