Special guest TV weatherman Sean Batty was on hand this week to officially open Trust Housing Association and East Dunbartonshire Council’s new mid market rent development at Southbank Road, Kirkintilloch.

With over 80 guests in attendance, the gloriously sunny day was enjoyed by all. Holy Family School Choir proved to be the stars of the show, with their renditions of some classic Scottish songs, including ‘You Cannae Shove Your Grannie off the Bus’.

Trust CEO, Bob McDougall said: “I was delighted to meet with some of our new tenants yesterday, who are continuously telling us how happy they are with the quality of their homes and the real difference it has made to their lives. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.”

Councillor Ashay Ghai, depute leader of the council and convenor of neighbourhood services, said: “What a glorious day to celebrate the opening of this new development. Our new tenants are benefitting from a great location, right here in the centre of Kirkintilloch. I hope they have a bright future here in their new homes.”
