Views sought on the future of housing in South Ayrshire

Basic CMYKSouth Ayrshire Council is asking the public what they think about housing with a view to updating its Local Housing Strategy.

The strategy, which will direct the council’s housing policy for the next five years, influences all types of housing including council housing, private lets, owner-occupied and housing association properties. Views gathered could also influence council partners such as housing associations and private sector builders.

Councillor Philip Saxton, housing & customer services portfolio holder for South Ayrshire Council, said: “We are committed to ensuring people are able to access good quality, affordable housing across South Ayrshire. In order to achieve this we need to know the housing issues that affect people, what we are doing well and what we can improve upon. I would encourage everyone to get involved and influence our housing policies for the better.”

The Local Housing Strategy survey is available online and can be completed by Friday 29 January 2016.
