Anne, who is currently Langstane’s director of housing, will take up the role from 14 September 2026 following the retirement of current chief executive Helen Gauld on 30 September 2026.

Following an extensive recruitment process, the association’s board has appointed Anne Jenkins to succeed Helen and lead Langstane into its next chapter.

Helen Gauld said: “I am particularly pleased to be handing over the leadership of the Association to Anne. Having worked closely with her, I know the experience, commitment and passion she brings to Langstane, and I have every confidence that she will lead the organisation extremely well as it enters this exciting next chapter.”

Anne Jenkins said she was delighted to have been appointed chief executive and looked forward to building on the strong foundations established during Helen’s tenure.

“This is a pivotal time for the Association as we look ahead to our 50th anniversary in 2027. It gives us an opportunity to celebrate everything that has been achieved over the past five decades, while also looking firmly towards the future and considering how we continue to evolve, innovate and deliver for our tenants and communities.

“I would like to pay tribute to Helen for her leadership over almost 12 years and the significant contribution she has made to Langstane. I look forward to working with our Board, colleagues, tenants and partners as we build on that legacy and continue to make Langstane an organisation that people are proud to be part of.”

Anne joined Langstane Housing Association as director of housing and brings 20 years of extensive experience across the housing sector to her new role. Her appointment will provide continuity for the Association while supporting its ambitions for the future.

Langstane Housing Association will mark its 50th anniversary in 2027, providing an opportunity to celebrate five decades of providing homes and services to communities while looking ahead to the Association’s next 50 years.
