Clare Newton, a member of the management committee at West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA), has been recognised for her fantastic commitment to social housing by EVH.

The organisation presented Clare with an award to recognise 10 years of service on the executive committee.

Eamonn Connolly, director, EVH, said: “Clare has been a stalwart supporter of EVH and has served on just about all of our Sub Committees with great aplomb. We hope she will be able to serve with EVH for many years to come.”

Ruth Simpson, chair of WSHA, added: “On behalf of WSHA, I am delighted to add our congratulations to Claire on her well-deserved award from EVH. It is great that her dedication to social housing has been recognised in this way.”

Clare said: “It is lovely to get this award. I first got involved with my local housing association 30 years ago to find out what was going on in my street. I currently serve on the Management Committee for West of Scotland Housing Association and represent them at the EVH monthly meetings. I want to give tenants a voice and ensure they get a first-rate service.”
