Bield appoints new asset investment manager

Bield has appointed Duncan McLeary as its new asset investment manager, highlighting the organisation’s continued investment in developing, upskilling and retaining talent from within.

Duncan, who joined Bield as an asset investment officer in 2022, recently stepped into the role and is currently working alongside existing asset investment manager Sam Mackenzie during a planned handover period ahead of Sam’s retirement later this year.

The transition will help ensure continuity across Bield’s property operations and services for tenants.

Since joining Bield, Duncan has continued to build his experience across asset investment and property services while progressing through a structured programme of professional learning and development supported by the organisation. Alongside his role, Bield supported Duncan to complete a Masters qualification in Construction Project Management, and he is now also studying towards a Diploma in Building Services Engineering.

Duncan’s progression reflects Bield’s wider commitment to investing in staff in through training, qualifications and career development opportunities that help them build long-term careers within the organisation.

Speaking about his appointment, Duncan said: “I’m really pleased to be taking on this new opportunity and continuing my career with Bield. The support I’ve received through training and professional development has played a huge part in helping me progress and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given while working here.

“I’m looking forward to building on the excellent work already being carried out across the property team and continuing to support high-quality services for our tenants.”
