Cala begins work on Bo'ness development

The Crawfields

Construction is currently going ahead at The Crawfields in Bo’ness, which is Cala’s latest development.

Situated off Crawfield Road in the southern edge of the town, the site is Cala’s first development in Bo’ness.

The homebuilder has built many new homes within the Falkirk area and wider central and west of Scotland region.

A group of Cala site employees alongside subcontractor partners have mobilised on site.

The early stage of construction is about laying the foundations for the new community and having the initial timber kits erected, such as the kit for the five-bedroom Lewis show home.

The Crawfields will have three-, four- and five-bedroom house types. The homebuilder is aiming to release its first phase of homes during the autumn, with the show home scheduled to to be released before the end of 2026. The Crawfields homes will be energy-efficient, containing air source heat pumps and EV charging.

Suzanne McElhiney, sales and marketing director at Cala Homes (West), said: “The commencement of work represents an exciting step forward for this development and for the future residents who will eventually call The Crawfields at Bo’ness home.

“We know there is demand for homes in this area and we anticipate this interest will continue as the site develops. For those interested in our first release of homes, I’d encourage you to register your interest and get in touch, so you are one of the first to hear about updates.”

The upcoming development is situated in close proximity to green spaces and woodlands, such as Bo’mains Nature Reserve and the Kinneil Estate, and a network of travel routes connecting to John Muir Way.

Prices at The Crawfields are anticipated to start from £349,000.
