CCG Homes’ first development in Greenock to go ahead
CCG Homes is to deliver a new luxury housing development in Inverclyde after securing land in the west end of Greenock.
The Glasgow-based developer submitted proposals to transform a derelict site on Madeira Street, formerly home to Greenock Academy, in October 2022 and were granted planning permission by Inverclyde Council earlier this year.
CCG Homes now own the land and will deliver a masterplan that comprises a mix of 24 three-storey townhouses and six 2.5-storey terraced houses with construction set to begin later in the year.
Complimentary to the distinctive, contemporary aesthetic will be a luxury standard of specification. Designer kitchens integrated with leading household brands, stylish bathrooms and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points will be provided alongside private and communal green space.
Enhanced energy performance will also be achieved thanks to advanced construction methods whilst select plots will offer stunning views towards the Firth of Clyde as a result of the site’s raised topography and the addition of balconies.
CCG Homes managing director, Calum Murray, said: “We are delighted to have secured this site which will be CCG Homes’ first development in Greenock. Madeira Street is located in a quiet suburban area of the town but it is the beneficiary of being within a short distance of amenities including the Ocean Terminal.
“With an excellent location, contemporary styling, high specification and enhanced energy performance characteristics, I am sure these new homes will be a welcome addition to the local property market and we look forward to updating prospective buyers with more information on our forthcoming sales release later in the year.”
