Mr Allan will continue to serve as a board member.

Mr Jamieson, who previously served as vice chair, has had a varied career including roles in economic development, infrastructure, and business development. He is currently the chief executive of the Coach House Trust, a charity in Glasgow that works to support clients with mental health issues, learning disabilities, addictions, homelessness and backgrounds in the justice system.

He said: “I am delighted to take up the role of chair of Cairn Housing Association. This is a testing time for the Association, and the housing sector as a whole, with the ongoing challenges the coronavirus pandemic brings.

“Cairn’s modernisation programme over recent years has put us in a strong position to meet them, and I look forward to working with the Board and Senior Management Team on our work to #BuildBackBetter and to achieve our vision of Great Homes, Great Services, Great People.”

Angus Lamont has stepped into the role of vice chair and also brings a wealth of experience to the Cairn board, after a long career of almost 35 years in social housing. Now retired, he was latterly the chief executive of the Hebridean Housing Partnership.
