Family joy at Linthouse spring fun day
A large crowd of tenants and their families joined Linthouse Housing Association for a spring family fun day.
Taking place at the Fairfield Working Men’s Club in Govan, the fun-packed occasion had non-stop entertainment to keep the kids occupied during the school holidays.
Activities included face painting, balloon modelling, bulb planting, arts and crafts facilitated by Govan-based Make, Do & Grow, Easter bonnet decorating, dance workshops and a dance competition.
There was also an opportunity to guess the toy lamb’s name and win the lamb to take home. A free draw to win a hamper was also on offer, topped off by a visit from the Easter bunny.
One of Linthouse’s contractors, Bell, provided Easter eggs and Angela, a staff member from Bell, helped with the Easter bonnet decorating while three members of the Linthouse Residents’ Panel – Norman, Pat, Mary and Agnes along with tenant Margaret - provided vital support at the event.
Linthouse chief executive Irene C McFarlane said: “The event was a great success and we thank everyone from the local community who came along.
“It was the perfect way to round off the school holidays with a day of springtime fun designed for all the family.”
Linthouse recently completed a year of festivities involving the community to mark its 50th anniversary.
