Housebuilder David Wilson Homes has welcomed the first residents to its new development in Strathaven.

Martin Berkley and his wife Louise are among 48 families who will occupy the first phase at Lauder Gardens.

Mr & Mrs Berkley and their nine-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, moved in to their new home in May and are officially the first residents to move into the development after taking advantage of David Wilson Homes’ part exchange scheme.

Estelle Sykes, sales director, David Wilson Homes, said: “Welcoming the first residents to a new development is always a hugely exciting milestone, and we wish The Berkleys all the best in their new home at Lauder Gardens.

“I’m also glad to see that our popular part exchange scheme continues to help people with their house move, alleviating some of the stresses that can come with selling your own home.”
