Housing minister Kevin Stewart visited Forth Housing Association’s newest development to mark the completion of the Association’s 800th home built for rent.

In Forth’s 30th year, the new homes currently being completed in the Cornton area of Stirling saw the Association pass the milestone of its 800th home for rent and the minister joined Forth’s chairperson, Gordon Mason, to mark the occasion by presenting a bouquet to the tenants of the property.

The development of 23 homes, which is nearing completion, was funded by a combination of £1.53 million of Scottish Government grant and £1m provided by Forth.

Kevin Stewart MSP said it was “great to visit Forth Housing Association’s new Johnston Avenue development in Stirling and a pleasure to meet the tenants in the 800th home”.

Outlining Forth’s continued plans for growth, Gordon Mason added: “The Association is committed to the ongoing provision of homes for social renting and our current activity should see us completing a further 130 homes in the next four years.”
