Green Home Systems has been appointed to Greener Futures Partnership’s £1.5 billion Decarbonisation Delivery Framework to provide energy efficiency and retrofit upgrades to housing nationwide.

The Greener Futures Partnership (GFP) is a consortium of five housing associations, made up of Abri, Anchor, Home Group, Hyde and Sanctuary. Representing 600,000 customers in 300,000 homes across the UK, the partnership has joined forces to decarbonise their housing stock.

Green Home Systems is an accredited energy efficiency specialist that holds multiple industry qualifications and provides a wide range of energy efficiency services including thermal insulation, smart heating systems, renewable energy technologies, and electric vehicle charge points.

The Framework will span a total of seven years: an initial four-year term with an option to extend for a further three, to enable delivery of the works supported by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). The GFP were recently successful in securing funding from the SHDF to retrofit 5,500 homes over the next two and a half years, with a total investment of around £95m.

The framework consists of three workstreams: construction work up to £5m, construction work over £2.5m, and consultancy work. It will be open to all contracting authorities in England, Wales and Scotland. The Framework includes work such as solar PV, heat pumps, insulation, wall and window installation and more.

Alastair Macphie, managing director at Green Home Systems, said: “We are really excited about our appointment to this framework. The Greener Futures Partnership is a powerful collaboration of housing associations that will accelerate the decarbonisation of our nation’s housing stock. This is a terrific opportunity for Green Home Systems and highlights our commitment to a more sustainable and greener country.”
