Hebridean Housing Partnership handyperson hangs up his tools

HHP colleagues join Alex John Macleod
A few tears were shed at Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP) last week when colleagues gathered to mark the retirement of Alex John Macleod, handyperson for Lewis and Harris.
Alex John joined the housing team in 1999 and transferred to HHP in 2006, serving its tenants for almost 23 years. He was hugely popular with tenants and staff and will be greatly missed.
He was presented with a Dewalt Multi-Tool from the organisation and a monetary gift from his colleagues.
A spokesperson for HHP said: “We wish him good health to enjoy what we hope will be a long and happy retirement.”
