Roddy Mackay, HHP board member and councillor for Benbecula and North Uist, said: “I am delighted to see the opening of another two developments in South Uist which demonstrates HHP’s commitment to provide housing opportunities across all our islands and communities.

“It’s fantastic to see the Howmore development being named after Mairi Bremner my much missed fellow board member. Mairi would have been extremely proud to see these quality homes being provided in South Uist which recognise her own passion for housing and the islands.”

The HHP has also welcomed the handover of four semi-detached houses at the Howmore development. The development was completed by a local company, Macinnes Brothers Ltd and was named after the late local councillor and HHP board member, Mairi Bremner.
