Housing renewals continue to bring benefits to Linthouse tenants

The CCG Group and Linthouse Housing Association are to embark on a third phase of planned renewal works to properties in Govan.

The work will take the number of properties that have received upgrades to approximately 450 since early 2018.

Like the previous two phases, this phase of works has been procured via one of the SPA Frameworks, with the total cost of contracts being met by the Association.

Undertaken by CCG’s planned maintenance division, CCG Asset Management, the latest phase of renewals includes the replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, plus the addition of ancillary decoration, plumbing and electrical works, including the installation of LD2 works to approximately 100 properties which will all be undertaken within a 3-month period.

It is the third phase of planned maintenance to have been delivered by CCG Asset Management for the Association. Earlier in the year, the company’s Asset Management’s sister division, Specialist Building Services, completed a major CTI project at Hutton Drive that was launched by the cabinet secretary for justice, Humza Yousaf MSP.

These works involved internal reconfiguration and external repairs, as well as internal improvements to 33 properties. This project was funded jointly by the Association and grant funding from Glasgow City Council’s DRS.

CCG Asset Management manager, Stephen Riley, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Linthouse Housing Association with this latest phase of planned maintenance. Linthouse is continuing to invest in their properties and by working with CCG, they are assured of a high-quality finish, delivered on time and on budget.

“Some of the feedback from our previous phases has been great to hear and I am sure our team will continue their good work for this programme.

Linthouse’s depute CEO, Gail Sherriff, added: “The Association’s new Asset Management team, that only began to form last year is delighted that this 3rd phase of component replacement works with CCG is now on site and that improving the standard of our tenants’ homes is uppermost in the minds of all members of the team.

“We have been reviewing tenant’s satisfaction within previous phases so that we can continue to work in partnership with CCG to ensure we are delivering the best, quality improvements that we all can.”
