Insite and ng homes gear up for Scotland Housing Awards

Insite Group’s construction division Insite Specialist Services is looking ahead to the Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland Housing Awards 2025 this week after it was named alongside ng homes in the prestigious Excellence in Housing Innovation category.
The award recognises projects that showcase an innovative approach and make a tangible difference in the lives of tenants.
The two organisations have collaborated on Insite’s groundbreaking Kill, Prevent, Protect (KPP) System, which has proven to be a game-changer by providing a comprehensive, long-term solution to the pervasive issue of condensation and mould.
“Being nominated for this award by our trusted partners at ng homes is a tremendous honour,” said Gordon Bruce, founder of Insite Specialist Services’ KPP System.
“It is a powerful validation of our commitment to developing cutting-edge solutions that directly address critical housing challenges. Our collaborative work with ng homes has shown that true innovation comes from a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and a shared goal of enhancing the lives of their tenants.”
As highlighted in the nomination from ng homes, the KPP System goes beyond temporary fixes to provide a holistic and sustainable solution. The system’s effectiveness is based on its unique three-part process:
- Kill: Eliminating existing mould contamination with Floodhit, a specialised, highly effective localised treatments.
- Prevent: Applying a preventative coating, Biotouch, to inhibit future mould growth and establish a robust, protective barrier.
- Protect: Installing advanced Airsanifiers to actively reduce airborne mould spores, bacteria, and viruses, ensuring significantly healthier indoor air quality.
In their nomination, ng homes celebrated the KPP System for providing “health benefits” for tenants and noted that it “makes good health sense and sound financial sense for our sustainable, responsible operations.”
