Kelvin Properties unveils vision for new homes and community space in Burnbank
Glasgow-based property developer Kelvin Properties has unveiled emerging proposals for Burnbank Bowling Club on Woodlands Road.
The mixed-use proposals include new homes, purpose-built student accommodation, community facilities and publicly accessible outdoor space, representing a significant long-term investment into the privately owned Burnbank site.
Designed to help secure the site’s long-term future, the plans would create new opportunities for wider community use alongside enhanced community facilities and publicly accessible outdoor space.
The proposals would also support wider housing demand within the West End, including for sale, rental, and purpose-built student accommodation close to the University of Glasgow, while helping create new spaces for local people to use and enjoy.
Paul Holland, project director at Kelvin Properties, said: “Our emerging proposals represent an exciting opportunity to make a positive contribution to Woodlands, delivering not just new homes, but also enhanced community facilities and outdoor space which could be of real long-term value to the area.
“We believe there is an opportunity to create a high-quality development which better reflects the changing needs of the local community while supporting the future of the Burnbank site.
“As the proposals continue to evolve, we would encourage local residents to attend our consultation events, learn more about the plans and help shape the future vision for Burnbank.”
Members of the local community will now have the opportunity to view the emerging proposals and provide feedback, after a Proposal of Application Notice was submitted to Glasgow City Council.
A public consultation event will take place on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at Burnbank Bowling Club (235 Woodlands Rd, Glasgow G3 6NN) between 2-7pm.
Full details of the proposals, including the opportunity to submit feedback, will also be available on the project website from 17 June.
