Kingdom delivers over £1.3m in financial gains for households
Kingdom Group’s Tenancy Support Services (TSS) team has delivered more than £1.3 million in estimated financial gains for tenants and householders across Fife, Clackmannanshire, Perth and Falkirk during 2025.
Since the start of the last financial year, the service received nearly 900 referrals, exceeding its targets while providing vital support to help people feel safe, warm and secure in their homes.
The dedicated team of seven offers holistic, person-centred assistance designed to reduce homelessness, build resilience and help households sustain their tenancies. The team offers support that includes income maximisation and budgeting advice, help with bills and debt, food and fuel poverty support, digital inclusion, and guidance to develop tenancy and life skills.
Many tenants have been supported to access benefits and discretionary funding that would not have been possible without the team’s intervention. In some cases, this has resulted in additional income worth thousands of pounds each year. Others have received practical support such as new cookers, flooring or grocery vouchers, helping them to get back on their feet during difficult periods.
Alongside direct financial gains, the service has delivered thousands of hours of support, including help with form-filling, understanding official correspondence, liaising with utility providers, advocacy, and accompanying tenants to appointments.
One tenant said: “The team has helped me become more independent. I’ve learned important skills that make me feel stronger and more capable. The Tenancy Support Service is kind, caring and truly life-changing. We now feel secure and more confident in our new home.”
Tenancy Support Services team leader, Abi Fox-Donnelly, said: “Kingdom as a group provides the bricks that make a home, but our service, alongside others, helps people build the foundations around their life - health, money management, children, social inclusion and everything else that helps people thrive.”
She highlighted the role of Kingdom’s ring-fenced Tenant Assistance Fund, which provides crisis and preventative support. The fund has helped hundreds of households with items such as white goods, flooring, energy top-ups and deep cleans, enabling people to settle into new homes, recover from crisis, or remain safely housed.
The fund has also supported a sector-leading partnership with Change Mental Health, embedding mental health resilience support within housing services. Project lead, Isla Aitchison, notes that there have been over 50 referrals, with many tenants reporting improved ability to cope during crises and sustain their tenancy.
Tenancy Support Services, alongside the Resilience project with Change Mental Health, continue to play a vital role in reducing homelessness, improving financial wellbeing, and supporting healthier, more resilient communities.
