Kingdom Housing Association’s customer experience team celebrates community award win
It was a successful night for Kingdom Housing Association’s Customer Experience team when they scooped the Community Environmental award at the annual Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) National Good Practice Awards last month.
The award recognises the positive impact of partnership working, customer engagement and community-led action in making neighbourhoods better places to live.
To celebrate World Earth Day 2026, the Kingdom team brought together tenants and colleagues to work with partners for community litter picks in Perth, Crail and Ballingry.
Using Fife Council’s Safer Communities Team equipment through their Meet Up, Clean Up programmes, they worked alongside Kingdom’s Assets and Neighbourhoods teams.
Customer experience team leader, Amber Lee, said: “We’re thrilled to win this award. We collected 20 bags of litter, helping to create cleaner, safer and more attractive neighbourhoods, while encouraging community pride and environmental responsibility.
“The events also gave tenants the opportunity to help shape our developing Sustainability Strategy, meaning their voices will feature strongly in future environmental priorities. We work hard to make sure our tenants are seen, heard and valued.”
The TPAS National Good Practice Awards recognise effective tenant participation and engagement, and the annual event itself serves as a platform for sharing strategies and learning across the sector.
Another team member added: “The litter picking was a great way to connect with our tenants, and we’re working with them right now to develop the Sustainability Strategy for Kingdom. It’s important to us that our customers’ input runs through our service changes, and the litter pick was an ideal way to engage with them.”
