Kingsridge Cleddans Housing Association has celebrated the enduring commitment of one of its longest-serving management committee members, John Barclay, at a recent presentation.
John has been heavily involved in social housing for over thirty years, helping to set up the association, and has continued to serve on the committee.
In recognition of John’s hard work and commitment, local member of Parliament, Patricia Ferguson, raised an Early Day Motion at Westminster. Patricia presented John with a framed copy of this as part of the celebration.
The event was attended by current and former members of the management committee, representatives of the neighbouring Drumchapel Housing Associations, EVH, as well as previous directors of Kingsridge Cleddans, John Docherty and Jim Strang.
Current director, Daniel Wilson, said: “John has shown an exceptional commitment to the Housing Association as well as the Drumchapel community. Through years of volunteering, he has helped shape the neighbourhood and improve the lives of our tenants.”
