Link’s Dunbeg Phase 3 wins Social Housing Development of the Year at 2025 Scottish Home Awards

Link Group’s Dunbeg Phase 3 development in Oban has secured another major housing award – winning Social Housing Development of the Year (over 100 units) at the 2025 Scottish Home Awards.
This latest recognition follows last month’s Affordable Development of the Year – Large win at the Homes for Scotland Awards, marking a double success for the affordable housing development.
Delivered by Link Group in partnership with the Scottish Government, Argyll and Bute Council, and a range of expert development partners – including Elder & Cannon Architects, Gillespies LLP, G3 Consulting Engineers, Armour Construction Consultants, Carbon Futures, and MacLeod Construction Ltd – the project provides more than 300 high-quality homes for social rent, mid-market rent, and shared equity.
The award was announced at the Scottish Home Awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence in housing across Scotland and is one of the sector’s most respected events.
Link Group commercial director and managing director of C~urb Colin Culross said: “It’s fantastic to see Dunbeg Phase 3 recognised once again for its contribution to affordable housing in Scotland.
“These awards highlight the power of partnership and the commitment of everyone involved in delivering high-quality, sustainable homes in one of Scotland’s most in-demand rural locations.
“Thank you to our partners and teams for making this possible – we’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved at Dunbeg.”
Planning applications for Phase 4 of the Dunbeg development were submitted earlier this year, with proposals for a further 433 homes, mixed use commercial zone and community facilities.
