Moray Council launches housing needs survey

Residents of all ages and tenures are encouraged to give their views

Moray Council has launched a survey to gather information on the housing needs and future aspirations of local households.

The survey will allow the council to better understand current housing circumstances and ensure a range of housing options are delivered in future. The results will help plan for new housing and housing services, making sure the needs of all residents and communities are met.

Residents of all ages and living in all types of housing are encouraged to give their views and ensure a cross-section of the community is heard.

The online survey is open to all Moray residents and 400 phone interviews will be carried out with households across the area. Phone interviews started on 15 August 2022 and will continue for four weeks. The survey is being carried out by professional market research company, Research Resource.

Moray Council’s head of housing and property, Edward Thomas, said: “We really appreciated residents taking the time to complete this survey to ensure we have a range of voices from the community.

“We always want to make sure our planning for the future is based on evidence of what the community looks like now and meet the needs of the future and this survey plays a key part on that understanding.”

The online survey takes around 10 minutes to complete.
