Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) has unveiled the appointment of Natalie McKail as its new chief operating officer.

Natalie will join SBHA on 24th August 2026 and brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across local and central government, the regulated private sector and the third sector in Scotland.

Her background includes leading housing and neighbourhood services, customer-focused service improvement, governance, risk management and organisational transformation.

In her new role as chief operating officer, Natalie will provide executive leadership across SBHA’s operational services and business support functions, with a focus on service quality, performance and positive outcomes for tenants, customers and communities.

Maria Lyle, chief executive of SBHA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Natalie to SBHA. She brings extensive leadership experience, strong housing and customer service expertise and a proven track record of delivering organisational improvement and change.
