Strengthening the CK Group’s presence in the Scottish market, CK Construction will initially focus on residential-led projects, while also delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment and groundworks works for public sector and partnering clients.

Launched this month, the new business is led by managing director Andrew Dallas, who brings more than 20 years of experience across both the public and private sectors.

CK Construction is backed by the established expertise of CK Contracts, founded in 1997, and benefits from in-house civil engineering and construction expertise. This integrated delivery model provides greater control over programme and quality, reduces project risk and offers clients increased certainty from the outset.

CK Construction also has the ability to undertake site and ground investigations in-house, giving greater control over timescales for testing, reporting and decision-making. When combined with its fully integrated groundworks capability, it positions the business strongly to manage complex and contaminated sites with confidence.

Andrew Dallas said: “There is a clear and urgent need for increased delivery capacity in the market, particularly in affordable housing. CK Construction has been created to respond to that need by working in genuine partnership with clients, focusing on quality, transparency and long-term relationships rather than short-term growth.”

Andrew’s career spans more than two decades in the industry, with the last 13 years focused on the development and delivery of affordable homes through a variety of procurement routes, including traditional tendering, land-led opportunities and framework agreements. During his previous role, he played a key role in the delivery of 1,000 affordable homes, a milestone he describes as one of the proudest achievements of his career.

He added: “I’m extremely proud to launch CK Construction into the Scottish market. This business has been built on strong foundations, supported by nearly 30 years of experience within the CK Group in the construction and civil engineering sector. That heritage gives us a real platform to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.”

Kris Kinnear, managing director of CK Contracts, welcomed the launch of the new business and Andrew’s appointment.

CK Construction will work closely with Scottish registered social landlords, local authorities and consultancy partners, with a clear ambition to establish itself as a trusted and reliable construction partner. Over the coming years, the business aims to build a strong project portfolio, secure places on key housing frameworks and grow in a controlled and sustainable way.
