In the next positive step for this impressive allocated and master planned development that has Planning Permission in Principle, Taylor Wimpey East Scotland will detail its plans to deliver a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes for the first parcel of land for development to East Lothian Council in summer this year.

This application for Approval of Matters Specified by Condition (AMSC) will also build on the outline design framework that is being implemented successfully for the nearby St Clements Well masterplan, and it will aim to integrate this proposed new neighbourhood with the growing community of St Clements Wells and Wallyford.

The masterplan vision for Dolphingstone will provide 25% affordable homes. It will also contribute to the delivery of a proposed new secondary school, local transport infrastructure improvements, while also providing new foot and cycle connections to create an active travel corridor to Wallyford and the local train station.

Taylor Wimpey’s vision for the land at Dolphingstone will also complement its developments nearby at Ravensheugh, St Clements Wells in Wallyford, Letham Mains in Haddington and Weldon Grange in Macmerry, as well as its future land interests in Dunbar signalling continued and significant investment in the wider East Lothian area by the housebuilder.

Pauline Mills, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are so pleased to have acquired this significant landholding at Dolphingstone near Wallyford which cements our commitment to the wider East Lothian area.

“Over the years, we have seen steady interest in our local developments across East Lothian from homebuyers looking to take advantage of the great location and commutable routes to Edinburgh and the wider area that East Lothian offers.

“Securing this future land will ensure that we can continue to play our role in the delivery of new homes as part of the overall East Lothian Local Development Plan and continue to provide a range of new homes to appeal to a range of buyers who want to call this area home.”
