Housing Options Scotland has welcomed two new brokers to its small, dedicated team providing housing advice and information.
Karen Campbell rejoins the organisation as senior housing options broker and Sally Stimson has been appointed as housing broker dedicated to its Military Matters service, providing advice to veterans and serving personnel in the Armed Forces Community.
Karen Cambell previously worked with Housing Options Scotland as a broker and a communications consultant. She brings a wealth of experience back to the team, working in health, social care and housing and her personal interest in trauma-informed and person-centred support. Karen has a degree in Marketing and Communications and a postgraduate diploma in Housing Studies from the University of Stirling.
On her appointment, she said: “I am delighted to be rejoining the team at Housing Options Scotland at such an exciting time, when the team has grown and the support of the charity is so needed.
“I’m looking forward to focusing back on supporting people with their housing while using new skills I have developed in my time away from Housing Options Scotland.”

Sally Stimson joins Housing Options Scotland to represent Military Matters as its dedicated broker. The new role has been made possible thanks to funding from the Scottish Veterans Fund in 2026-27 and will focus on supporting clients from the armed forces community as well as developing partnerships within the armed forces sector.
Sally spent twelve years in the Royal Navy and, since leaving the services, has worked to support veterans with their housing needs. She spent eight years working for SSAFA and also worked for Glasgow City Council as a Homeless Case Worker.
On her appointment, she said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Housing Options Scotland, representing the well-established Military Matters service.
“As a Royal Navy veteran myself I have lived experience of leaving the Armed Forces into an uncertain housing situation and am passionate about informing and supporting veterans and their families in their search for safe, affordable and secure housing.”
In addition to the new appointments, senior broker Jil Dyson-Fyffe has accepted the position of interim depute CEO following the departure of former depute CEO Olivia Lindsay earlier this year.
