The days are getting lighter, the days a bit warmer. Thinking of getting your bicycle back out of the road after the winter? Or perhaps you’re looking for a little bit of care for your bicycle after the winter?

Located on Eccles Street in Springburn, ng homes’ Active Travel Hub is is a weekly one-stop shop for all things bike! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist in need of some bike maintenance or maintenance tips, a beginner looking to get into cycling, or simply curious about ng homes’ bicycle storage options, the Active Travel Hub is here to help!

No appointment is needed - just stop by the Hub which is open every Tuesdays from 2pm-4pm!

The Active Travel Hub can get you information about our community bicycle distribution program, providing access to refurbished bicycles which have been donated and checked over by mechanics before being offered to new owners.

The Hub also aims to promote and encourage sustainable travel and the benefits of cycling within the local community. By working in collaboration with local partners, the Hub hopes to provide accessible resources and knowledge to enhance cycling experiences for everyone.

Greg Cann, project manager at ng homes, said: “Our goal is to get more people on bikes and ensure that everyone has the opportunity and the confidence to enjoy cycling whether it is for fun, exercise or as a way of getting about the community. We’re delighted to be running our Active Travel Hub again this year and look forward to sharing the benefits of cycling as it’s a fantastic way to support both physical and mental wellbeing.”
