Nova Homes submits plans for Neilston development

A planning application has been submitted for Nova Homes’ proposed residential development at Holehouse Brae, Neilston.

The development includes 62 new homes for sale, including a mix of detached, semi-detached, and flatted properties, with a particular focus on family living through the introduction of three and four-bedroom homes. The scheme also includes associated infrastructure, landscaping, and generous open space to support a vibrant, well-connected community environment.

Within the development, 36 homes for social rent will also be delivered to support East Renfrewshire’s local housing needs.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in late Summer 2026, with the first homes expected to be ready for occupation in Spring 2027.

Gordon Cunningham, managing director of Nova Homes, said: “We’re delighted to have the green light for our new development in East Renfrewshire. Our goal is to create high-quality homes that meet the needs of local families while complementing the area’s natural charm. We’re excited to work with the community and bring forward a place people will be proud to call home.”

Nova Homes was founded in 2023 by Gordon Cunningham, who is also the managing director of Nova Homes construction partner Clark Contracts. The board also includes Ed Monaghan, former CEO of Mactaggart & Mickel, as non-executive director.
